Overheard is an independent publisher, seeking to publish an initial catalog of full-length books in 2027. Originally founded as a print and digital literary magazine in 2019, Overheard has published dozens of writers and poets, whose work can be viewed in our archive.

Evelyn Maguire lives in Cape May, NJ. She earned her MFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she was a recipient of the James W. Foley Memorial Prize for political writing. Sean Cho A. is the author of “American Home" (Autumn House 2021) winner of the Autumn House Press chapbook contest. His work can be found in The New England Review, Black Warrior Review, Copper Nickel, The Massachusetts Review, among others. Sean is a graduate of the MFA program at The University of California Irvine and The PhD program at the University of Cincinnati. He is the Editor in Chief of The Account. Diana Cao's poetry and fiction have appeared in Ploughshares, Graywolf Labs, The Yale Review, and elsewhere. Her debut collection, Slipstream, winner of the Berkshire Prize, is forthcoming from Tupelo Press in July 2026. She is also the author of Relational (Sixth Finch, 2024). She was Just Buffalo Literary Center’s 2024 Poetry Fellow, selected by Megan Fernandes, and the winner of the 2025 Kenyon Review Short Fiction Contest.
